This week in anticipation of the 2019 Tony Awards we flash back to Episode 33 with Tony nominee, Ali Stroker. Ali is now is not only the first actress as a wheelchair user to appear in a Broadway show (circa: 2015’s Spring Awakening), but also the first wheelchair user to be nominated for a Tony Award. We talk about her journey from New Jersey neighborhood productions to Glee to her most recent foray in the revival of Oklahoma as Ado Annie. She tells us what inspired her, where we are right now as it pertains to disability representation, and where she’d like to see us go. All of that and more on this week’s episode of The Access Champions Podcast.
